Q: Is a 12 volt electricity supply really safe?
A: Completely safe. If you held the contacts in your hands and switched on, you would feel nothing.

Q: Which comes first, do I decorate the house or wire the house?
A: The first job is wiring, as you will probably have to hide some wires under decorated surfaces such as wallpaper.

Q: Which is the best way to start?
A: You must decide which of the three options appeals to you: In your first choice you run the "powered" tape on the exterior parts of the house, then you use the Easywire tape system which makes the system easy and simple to implement using 12 volts. This option is the one we recommend as you just plug lamps etc. into the tape and do not have to fiddle to get things the way you want them.
Option two is the Carded System which saves you a little money but is a little "fiddly" and you spend time refitting plugs into wires.
Option three is to bring all the wires inside the house and hide them under your wallpaper. If you choose this method, we recommend the Professional Wiring Kit which gives you a lot of tape and a tacker to make connections really invisible.

Q: If I lay the tape under the wallpaper, will the paste affect the tape?
A: No. Easywire twin tape is supplied with an impermable backing.

Q: Can I cross one piece of tape over another without causing a short circuit?
A: Yes you can. The impermable backing insulates one layer from another.
